This is a painting dedicated to one of my favorite burger and hot dog spots in Chicago. It is a play on Devil Dawgs.

More than that, this is a piece about feeling homesick and missing those good burger nights with your friends. Simple as that. The other underlying inspiration and influence behind this piece is Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks”.

I’ve always wanted to create my version of that painting. I think every artist has 3-5 famous paintings that they want to create their version of.
